Nobody told the dog about the other poses. Savasana — the final resting pose — is what yoga builds toward. Forty-five minutes of effort, breathing, and mild discomfort, all in service of the last five minutes where you lie completely still and do nothing. The dog skipped the middle part. Went straight to the conclusion. Flat on its back, fully committed, no regrets. "Is It Savasana Yet?" was the only honest question to ask. The one that lives in the back of every room where people are trying very hard to look like they're not counting down the minutes. We drew the dog. Added the question. Put it on this oversized graphic tee and called it a day. The dog would have approved.
